Socks

On Ravelry, one of my groups has traveling sock groups.  Each person starts knitting their toes, then pass them on to 6 to 7 other people.  By the time it gets back to you, you have a colorful pair of socks.  Do I take my knitting out into the public?  Here are a couple different pairs of socks at the local short track.
