P.O.P.

Time for another Pictures On the Patio.
----
My peach tree was planted in the beginning of March.  It sat dormant since I planted it.  Last week I started seeing leaves sprouting.
So tonight I took a closer look.  Wait!  What is that?
It is?  It is!  It is a flower!  As for the rest of the garden,
My one pepper, but I am happy, as it is more than I have gotten before.
My potato plant is moving up.
Still a few berries, but now I'm worried it is the birds that are eating the fruit.
The peppermint is growing nicely.  This is the sweet mint I added a couple weeks ago.
No I couldn't stop myself.  I did finally find a Chocolate Mint plant.  The leaves are suppose to look nice on this one.  I believe the roller coaster weather is getting to my bean plant.  The seed sprouter is working out well so far.  I'm seeing small plants from several herb seeds.  I'm ordering a different sprouter, this time to see what I can do with desert plants.  I've collected a few different seeds and I want to see what happens.

My new Spinning Toy!

Yes today is my Birthday.  Before Spring Break I ordered a Blending Board.  It finally got to me today.
Here are three batts so far.  I'm calling these "Clown Attack"
These are the backs of them.

I've been reading Facebook and blog posts, and they are worrying me at little.  Just north of my is the Bundy (Rancher vs BLM) going on.    There is now the comments from the owner of the Clippers.  A student is killed just because she refused to go on a prom date with a someone, preferring to go with their boyfriend.  The list goes on.  Now we are entering Primary Season, and some mud already starts to fly.  My opinion is, if you accept funding from NPRI, Koch or other type groups, your not getting my vote.  I believe Rodney King had the right idea in the 90s.  "People, I just want to say, can we all get along?"  I worry what culture we are creating for the next generation.  It is time we asll just got along, and stopped compare each person by what we think are their faults.

Magnify, Clue 3

This is what Magnify looks like after Clue 3 of 4.
Close-up of Part 3.

Very close up of the beaded area.
Maybe it is a fancy sheep cloak.

P.O.P.

I though my pepper plant looked wilted.  Looked today and found a pepper growing.
Blue berries are looking a little wilted too.  Plant looks healthy, but the berries don't.  Might be too much heat.
Added another mint plant to the garden.
Bean plant that I put in the ground has been growing very well.  One of the leaves is six inches long.

The potato plant that I had started stopped growing.  This started growing instead.
Boo!

Magnify Clue #1 and #2

Here are a couple pictures of clue #1 and #2 together.

P.O.P Plus

Both the pepper plant and my main bean plants are blooming.  The pea plant gave up on me.  I'm probably going to put something in its place.
I got one bobbin finished today.  Three more to go.
Pina Colada Jam.  I even processed them, but realize I need a bigger pot.

In oasis in the middle of the desert/city.  I just discovered the beauty of the Springs Preserves.  What a gem in our city.

Spring Break is Here!

These are seed sprouting trays.  Each of the cups are different seeds that are soaking.  I want to see what they might do.  Most of the seeds are old ones I had on a shelf, so they might not grow.  If they don't, I move on to fresh seeds.

Cooking:

Did I mention my first attempt at making Mustard?  It is soupy, takes very spicy. just like good brown mustard should.  with 0.6 ounces, I needed more.  Now I have three 16 oz bags.I will experiment next week.

My Pea Plant is look yellow.  I've been moving the planter around and I hope that helps.

Fiber:

I'm working my way through clue #2 on Magnify.

  • Goals for Spring Break:
  • Finish clue #2 and #3
  • Finishing spinning and photograph Icelandic Wool
  • Finish several traveling socks
  • Wait for my Peach Basket Slippers kit
  • Look into purchasing a blending board.
Will the break mean more attention?

My Bird of Paradises

A few friends were curious about my Mexican/Yellow Bird of Paradises

This two of the several in the front yard.  They take the abuse, and still grow very full.

This one grows next to the kitchen.  Yes it reaches the height of the roof.  With not a lot of Northern sun yet, I'm sure it is looking for direct sunlight.
What about me?

Magnify, Clue #1

Here is my Magnify after clue #1.  Still on the needle, because I had left the waste yarn at home.
