Magnify, Casting on Beads

Clue #1 for Laura Nelkin's Magnify started a few hours before April 1st (at least for me.)  Tonight's quote is "2B, or not 2B? The question really is, which set am I on?".  I was placing #8 Seed beads on my fingering weight (Sock weight) yarn.  I was doing 2 of my A color, the 2 of my B color.  This totals 378 beads put on my yarn, and looks like this:

Now to start a provisional cast-on.  She wanted SC, but I prefer to cast onto the needle itself.
